LETTER GIVEN BY NFPE TO THE SECRETARY DEPARTMENT OF POST
System Administrators: The technical knowledge acquired by the System Administrators and the role being played by them in computerizing the offices all over the country as well as ensuring the smooth running of the net work is unfortunately overlooked by the Pay commission. In no other department such a massive computerization could have taken place without employing outside knowledge. It is known that these category of staff work beyond 8 Hours daily as well as called to assist by field offices at odd hours also. We request the department may consider grant of 10% of Pay + Grade Pay as recommended in the case of caretakers vide Para 3.8.8 of CPC Report to distinguish them from the other operative staff as an interim measure. We also request to consider the issue of formation of a separate technology wing like civil wing and make the System Administrators a separate establishment.

As far as we people are concerned , it seems that pay commission thinks that we have no role to play... and so thinks the department of Posts... a new scheme is to be intoduced, every body says call system admin, some technical fault is there every body says call system admin, no monthly reports , calll system admin.... when system admin is aclled every where in department why not at this stage when he has the chance to prove his identity in department.... being asyetm admin i had no socail relations... because my maxmium time is spent at my office working in all the branches...and no body is satisfied with our work... and pay commission syas there is no justification of such cadre.... i wish you all the best ....

Agreed with you, We must demand for a Separate Wing, if separate wing is created- separate establishment, separate pay scale,separate recruitment criteria all the points will be solved automatically.
So, we must stcik on separate wing. and creation of new post right from the Directorate level to Sub Division level.
10 % pay hike or some advance increments will not solve the problems, We are not demanding just a pay hike, but a recognition for the work what we are doing for past 10-13 years, in the past years our beloved Department just exploited us by giving a mouth full of designation like System Manager, System Administrator, System Assistant.
It is the right time for our claim, our slogun should be " NOW or NEVER".
And a request to all the LEADERS Pl. don't hesitate to claim our justified demands in the terms of separate "Technical Wing".

i thing The pay commission did not touch the actual working position of system managers because, we are the people who are trying to make our department a compitive & productive rather than some old befooled people having more inluence to our policy makers. As the SM's are discouraged at every stage & every possible instance, that is why our department is loosing its social credibilty. Mr Pay Commissioner just think with open mind and pay us properly as compare to our hard work
It's we people who made department to touch the Sky in IT Sector... irrespective of time,day,date we provide our services for the implementation of IT services of the department..... and may we ask our esteemed department what have they given us in return.....????? Nothing than a idol designation of System Administrator /Manager...... Our deptt seems to have adopted the policy of Britsher's, "That is Use and throw"... but this wont be tolerated any more...... We have every right to fight for our justified and genuine demand so shall we work for it with all our will and power and by all the means we can.
Hope at this crutial stride we will remain united and work together for the betterment for our cause.
