DECISION TAKEN BY CIRCLE CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEE OF SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS OF KERALA CIRCLE
We, SAs of Kerala Circle demand for the creation of a separate cadre /wing/establishment . This is because of the fact that, if we are not given recognition of a separate cadre now, this is not going to happen in the future.
We demand tht; the NFPE Union should not compromise below the above demand.
During conversion, with higher officials of DOP, it is learnt that, they are in favour of our demand for a separate cadre.
Our demand is for the recognition of our past struggles for the successful computerization of department and not for mere monetary benefit.
In the present scenario, there is intervention from various level of higher officials Varying from PM to PMG and our demand is for a separate wing and thus a single controlling authority for the smooth functioning of our day to day work.
As the department is going up for a great leap in modernization programmes, the role of SA s are inevitable and we are having great expectation from the Union for exploring all the avenues for our demand.
Considering the efforts put forth by the present set of SAs for the computerization in the phase 1 and 11 it is demanded that, job security is provided and the SA s are not reverted to the PA cadre.
Discussions are going among independent SAs for the formation of an independent association with the help of other Unions and there is a chance of certain SA s moving out to the side of that union.

A Technical Wing as like Postal Civil and Postal Electrical Wing is need of the hour. Though Department of Posts has taken up the project of Computerization of its Post Offices since last 20 years but it has not given proper thought on its implementation neither it has given due weitage to the human resource development. Whatever the Department has gained in the field of Computerization its because of the Hard work being given by the System Administrators from the PA cadre. As the Department is going towards full computerization including the Branch Offices through Online transactions i.e. Any time banking the duties and responsibilites of the System Administrators will increase manifold. Hence without a separate Technical Wing this huge work cannot be implementate properly neither our justified demands will get proper attention. We strongly demand a separate Technical Wing with due status to the System Administrators.

Agreed with you, We must demand for a Separate Wing, if separate wing is created- separate establishment, separate pay scale,separate recruitment criteria all the points will be solved automatically.
So, we must stcik on separate wing. and creation of new post right from the Directorate level to Sub Division level.
10 % pay hike or some advance increments will not solve the problems, We are not demanding just a pay hike, but a recognition for the work what we are doing for past 10-13 years, in the past years our beloved Department just exploited us by giving a mouth full of designation like System Manager, System Administrator, System Assistant.
It is the right time for our claim, our slogun should be " NOW or NEVER".
And a request to all the LEADERS Pl. don't hesitate to claim our justified demands in the terms of separate "Technical Wing".
